TOT SWAP

So I finally did it! I signed up for a tot swap. You may not know what a tot swap is...it's a huge flea market of baby/kids/maternity stuff. People consign there stuff, price, tag and drop off stuff. It gets arranged by what it is and then the doors open to the public. Think 3 days of Moms, Grandma's and Aunties shopping! I have found so many wonderful things at Tot Swap's of the past. I have lots of Mommy friends who have found amazing deals on must have things for their kiddos. I mean I got a GENTLY USED PEG PERGO umbrella stroller last year for about $60...that was a huge bargain! So I spent Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning going through clothing of the past. Matching outfits, attaching all pieces and deciding what a fair price would be on my memories of my little ones in these clothes. It was hard but, I can't hold onto EVERYTHING right! I saved my favorites, I came to terms with the fact that it is time, and I came to realize that even though I desperately think/feel/believe our family is not quite complete yet(1 more please) it is time to be content with the family I do have. My house is 105 items lighter. And I intend to make it even lighter in the next few weeks. I want to take things to our local consignment shop. And I plan to do the summer Tot Swap at the end of June. So as I put these items away, I will put them in an order that they can easily be found and priced for the future. Yay for Spring CLEANING! Yay for free therapy! Yay for me! Beware kiddos....toys are next!

Great week with family

So I got a message that went like this..."Hey it's me, Call me if you want to see me this week." That was my brother, J, on a Saturday afternoon 2 weeks ago. So I call him back as soon as I get the message. Turns out he had a few days off, his girlfriend is on Spring Break (yeah they are in their early/mid 20's and still get a Spring Break in Grad School). They planned to arrive Sunday sometime and stay till Friday. To say the kiddos were excited would be the understatement of the year! They LOVE Uncle J and Aunt Renee. And Aunt Renee and Uncle J LOVE them. But I was totally excited too! I miss my little brother who towers over me! (He also brings me my favorite ice cream too! LOVE me some Graeter's!) The kids gave them a run for their money the 1st couple days they were here. I went to work and Uncle J and Aunt Nay babysat. Oh the first day was fine...took the girls to the dinner for lunch and an afternoon of shopping. They came home with gorgeous dresses, leggings, a t-shirt and a new Wii game. Spoiled much??? We went to baseball practice and ran around town. Of course no visit would be complete with out a trip to BOBS! Bob Evans that is. My brother worked there and Renee works there still. I don't think she will ever give up that job. She is the hardest working girl I know and Bobs is her favorite. She has worked there for 5 years now! The night we went to Bobs it was a fundraiser for the Girl Scouts...kids night. Face painting, balloon twisting, kids specials and free pencils. Spoiled kids again! Caitlyn got chocolate milk for the first time too! It was hard to say goodbye and there were a few tears but the kids loved every second they got to spend with them. (Me too!) Till the next time we see them...MUWAH!!!!!

Caitlyn turns 1!

My Sweet Baby is turning 1! This year has just flown by. It seems like just last week when we brought her home. Caitlyn has grown so much and has learned so many things. Colin and Meghan have taught her some amazing ways to get her share of the attention. She LOVES to scream and yell!

We spent her special day with Family and Friends. Grandma and Grandpa Nirote came to visit from Ohio. Lots of people came to our house for snacks, cup cakes and playtime. Caitlyn recieved tons of new outfits, including some jeggings and boots. She may be the best dressed Pelkey! She also got some bristle blocks and these we have discovered taste amazing! They feel pretty cool on the gums too!

Caitlyn is walking and into EVERYTHING! Espacially if it belongs to Colin or Meghan. Then it is very fun to torture them! She has the best smile and tummy laugh! We often find ourselves laughing along with her. She can blow kisses and send a MUAH across the room! She loves to "talk" on play phones but as soon as you put her on with family she clams up.

It has been an amazing year! I love her so much! We have been so blessed to be given this lil bean to share our lives with! xoxo

New Job!

I am offically trained! I know everyone was worried!? I am trained to be a School Health Room Aide(SHRA). I am super excited about this new adventure. It has been a rough 6 weeks though.

I miss my babies! BIG TIME! Leaving them at home in the morning SUCKS! BIG TIME! But our sitter is amazing and has been "family" for as long as I have known Seann. I love her! Roxanne fills my shoes perfectly! The kids have adjusted really well too! Well OK sort of well. We have had our moments and our tears but I truely believe that this is going to be awesome for our family.

Heres hoping we can make it to the end of the school year!
